The hotel analysis is a continuation of PROSPECTA's work for the Moscow housing renewal competition, focused on the creation of a healthy, sustainable and balanced urban environment. Experts believe that the urban renewal plans should include a broad mix of functionalities, including hotels.
The Moscow Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning announced the renewal contest in April 2017. 277 companies (some of them in consortia) were admitted to the competition, 20 entries were short-listed and there were 5 winners, including PROSPECTA and its consortium partners, Asadov Architects Bureau and ENGEX, which presented a project for housing renewal in Golovinsky District in the north of Moscow.
The long-term plan of the Moscow city government is to demolish and replace 5144 apartment blocks in the city by 2032.
